August 20th, 2007 by admin

Meetro is the first location aware chat software that allows users to meet real people in their own neighborhood. It is compatible with AIM, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, Gtalk, Jabber, and ICQ. It is primarily used for people who wish to meet others with similar interests in their area. Users are able to input their location to see other users online in their surrounding area. Its location finder is the strongest in the world and uses technology to determine the latitude and longitude of a particular location. User’s exact locations are never displayed to others for privacy and security factors. Instead, members are told how far in miles they are from the person they are chatting with; Meetro will only display down to a quarter of a mile.
Meetro has many popular features that make it a leading chat software. First, members can create unique profile pages that can be searched by other users nearby. Users can feed YouTube videos, Flickr photos, and blogs directly into this profile. In order to encourage chat, Meetro displays places and services that are nearby to both chatters such as restaurants, cafes, and bars that people can meet at. Meetro is a great way to meet new people in your area!

Trillion

August 19th, 2007 by admin

Trillion is an instant messaging application for Windows that can connect multiple IM services. This is beneficial because it allows users to talk to different people on different messaging services on the same time without having multiple accounts open. Trillion connects IM services such as AIM, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, IRC, Bonjour, Jabber, and Skype. Users can group different connections under different groups to avoid confusion, and Trillion represents different IM services with different colors. For example, AIM clients will have a yellow dot next to their name while Yahoo Messenger clients will have a red dot next to their name. One cool feature of Trillion is that if a buddy uses a few different IM services, all of that buddies names will be bundled under one master name, as to create less confusion. Trillion is the easiest way to talk to all of your buddies online at the same time! Download the ultimate instant messenger today to start chatting!

AIM

August 16th, 2007 by admin

AIM, also known as AOL Instant Messenger, is a chat software made produced by AOL. It is the most popular chat and instant messaging system, and is used by people throughout the world. In addition to just chatting on aim, users can direct connect with each other and send files such as pictures, videos, music, and any other type of file they wish. Users can also create a personalized profile for others to see, and chose a buddy icon that best fits them. Users can also apply an AIM expression, which adds a theme to their buddy list, IM window, and buddy icon. Newer versions of aim also include tabbed IM windows, which provide organization when talking to many people at once. Users can also put up an away message which tells other users where they are or what they are doing when they are away from their computer.
If for any reason you cannot download AIM onto your computer, whether it is because your computer cannot run it, or if you are on a shared or work computer, you can download AIM express. This online version of aim runs in your web browser and is intended for those who are unable to install AIM but still wish to chat. AIM express supports many standard features, but does not have many of AIM’s advanced features such as direct connection and buddy icon choices.

Go to www.aim.com to learn more about AIM and download the software for your computer.
